The Japan and America Society of Houston
The Japan-America Society of Houston is a non-profit organization incorporated in 1968 to provide a non-political forum for discussion of issues between the United States and Japan and to promote greater cultural understanding between the people of both countries. The mission of the Japan America Society of Houston, Inc. (JASH) is to provide programs which increase the knowledge and understanding of Japan by Americans, and to encourage communication between the Japanese and Americans.
We operate on many levels; frequent programs examine art and culture, business and current events. The Society, since its founding, has become the cultural resource and clearinghouse in the City of Houston for all things Japanese.
Become a member of JASH is easy. Consisting of approximately 350 individual members and 35 corporate members, the Japan-America Society of Houston is a non-profit organization incorporated in 1968 to provide a non-political forum for discussion of issues between the United States and Japan and to promote greater cultural understanding between the people of both countries.
